Happy New Year! 2022 is here.. Are you ready to step into the New Year? New beginnings are always exciting for myself. New agendas, calendars with beautiful pictures; and freshening the desk by cleaning out the old. It feels so good to begin the year with a fresh start.
But you know, with God, it is a fresh start everyday. His mercies are new every morning. God’s mercies are new every day and he is full of grace and love. To know that God meets us where we are each day is a gift that is eternal.
“ The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “ therefore I will hope in him.”
Lamentations 3:22-24
God designed us and has created His own Masterpiece. He knitted us together in our Mothers’ wombs. He is the designer, having woven us into His story. Yes, we are in His story.
Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments. Psalm 119:73 NASB
God being the designer, he has woven us in the story of now. So we have the opportunity to open our Bible and read the story that came before us. The Story of how God provided a rescue plan through His son, Jesus. A helpful resource to read is the book, Woven, by Angie Smith. Her book highlights important people and events.
